How to Measure
Accurate measurements are essential for properly fitted blinds. Be sure to
use a quality steel measuring tape since cloth tapes or wood rulers are not
dependable for precise measurements. Measure all windows, even though they may
appear to be identical. The factory will make the blind exactly the size ordered
within tolerances of +/- 1/8” unless you request otherwise.
Horizontal Wood, Faux Wood or Aluminum venetian blinds.

INSIDE MOUNT
| 1. |
Measure the width of the window in three locations: top, middle and
bottom. Deduct 3/8” from the narrowest width to allow for clearance
inside the window. Record this measurement to the nearest 1/8”. |
| 2. |
Measure the height of the window in three locations: left, middle
and right. Deduct 1/4” from the shortest length to allow for the blind
to close properly. Record this measurement to the nearest 1/8” |
| 3. |
Measure the length you would like the lift and tilt controls to be.
The standard default length will be half way down the blind, but this
may be too short in some circumstances. Record this measurement to the
nearest inch. |

OUTSIDE MOUNT
| 1. |
Measure the exact width of the window frame from edge to edge;
including overlap. This should be the exact area to be covered. Record
this measurement to the nearest 1/8”. |
| 2. |
Measure the exact height from the upper edge to the lower edge of
the window frame; including overlap. This should be the exact area to be
covered. Record this measurement to the nearest 1/8”. If measuring to a
floor, leave approximately 1/2” clearance. |
| 3. |
Measure the length you would like the lift and tilt controls to be.
The standard default length will be half way down the blind, but this
may be too short in some circumstances. Record this measurement to the
nearest inch. |
