Black Rock Oceanfront Resort
Ucluelet, BC, Canada
This luxury waterfront resort has made extensive use of our roller sunscreens to preserve their magnificent view while controlling heat gain and glare from the sun. The fabric used was woven from two colours of thread so that the interior is dark coloured to maximize ‘view thru’ while the exterior is white to maximize reflection of the sun’s rays.
Crystal Ridge - Townhomes on Blackcomb Mountain Whistler, BC, Canada
This project underwent a major renovation and expansion in 2007. At that time we manufactured and installed 2-inch basswood venetian blinds in many of the homes as part of the renovation. Since then, we have supplied multiple different window treatments for these homes in conjunction with renovations conducted by individual owners.

Our 2-inch wood venetian blinds were offered as an optional upgrade by the original builder at the time these homes were originally constructed. As a result they were installed in many of the homes. The custom colour developed to blend with the woodwork in the homes is still available.

For this job, the interior designer choose a custom colour and knotty basswood slats to create a warm and rustic feeling. We manufactured knotty basswood slats for our 2-inch venetian blinds to achieve her design objective.

For this project we supplied sunscreen roller shades using a fabric with 3% open area weave and gray in colour. The gray colour provides reasonable ‘view thru’ while the 3% open weave physically blocks 97 % of the sun, keeping the interior spaces of the associated convenience store and food service area cool and comfortable.

For this project we supplied venetian window blinds using 2 inch hardwood (basswood) slats stained Cherry colour. This type of blind provides an excellent balance of a high quality appearance combined with durability and function.
NorthStar - Condominium Hotel Whistler, BC, Canada
For this complex we offer special pricing that includes on-site check measuring, removal/disposal of your old blinds, installation of the new blinds and a five year on-site warranty. To date we have replaced approximately half of the blinds in this complex. The majority of the new blinds have been our 2-inch real wood venetians, but; we have also supplied vertical blinds, roller shades and top down/bottom up cellular shades.

Our 2-inch basswood venetian blinds in Mink colour were used throughout this hotel. In addition, blackout roller shades were installed to provide increased room darkening in the bedroom areas. For this project we supplied sunscreen roller shades using dark gray fabrics with 1% and 3% open area weave. The dark colour provides good ‘view thru’ while the 1% and 3% open weaves provide the desired levels of privacy and control of UV heat gain from the sun.
